When I was a child, I lived in a small town called Trinité, located on a French island in the West Indies—Martinique. Not far from my childhood home, there is a peninsula known as the "Presqu’île de la Caravelle." At the very tip of this peninsula lies my favorite place in the entire world: a lighthouse.
This lighthouse is known for being the highest in France—not because of its height, but because it sits on top of a hill. Reaching it requires about an hour of hiking.
