TIL I’ve been pronouncing “pentathlon” wrong my entire life. It’s pen-TATH-lun (3 syllables) Not pen-tath-a-lon (4 syllables) 🤯 (Pentathlon being the sports event that includes 5 different kinds of events. It currently includes fencing, swimming, shooting, horse jumping, and running, but apparently it’s evolved quite a bit over the years. It used to be just 5 different track events. Anyway, now I know how to pronounce it correctly!)
