I had shingles in my left eyeball. Very rare. It affected my eyesight, was the absolute worst itching, & the pain was worse than childbirth. I am not kidding. My entire left side of my face was red, bumpy & hurt. It took almost 3 months to let up. I couldn’t drive, work, or do much of anything. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
