Okay one last pizza related question: CT people, you have one chance only to prove to ppl that we have the best pizza - where are you bringing them and what pie are you getting? (Hopefully it’s not just Sally’s and Modern lol)

Yorkside Pizza in New Haven. Salads are great there too Lots of Yale students. Just a few doors down from Toads.

Modern bc it IS the best! Most consistently great too, unlike Pepe’s, so inconsistent. Only good Pepe’s pie is the fresh tomato available in July. That’s outstanding. Sally’s used to be my fav but thr last 2 trips pizzas were not just slightly charred but burnt & dried out. Outside of New Haven I love Amato’s in Madison. Worth the drive but it’s take out only.

If I can’t send someone for Sally’s clam and Modern’s pizza with everything, I would choose the fresh tomato pie at Roseland Apizza in Derby. A thin crust pizza with tomato sauce, olive oil, a bit of garlic and a sprinkling of Parmesan.
