We are but we also need to have common sense and take situations in consideration. Baptism didnt start until Jesus was an adult, so its rather obvious why he didnt get baptized as a baby. Baptism replaced circumscision (rom 2:28), we are no longer under the physical covenant but the spiritual, hence the Baptist view of claiming baptism is a decision and cant be done on infants is a heresy. No christian denom before the baptists thinks it is a declaration.
