Aside from being a truly facile comment, yu're comparing apples with oranges and advancing an arguement that could just as easily be used to rationalise the price of 1st class stamps rising north of £50. The fact is, Royal Mail's prices stand out compared to comparable mail carriers on the continent with universal service committment. You're simping for privatisation and the avarice of idle executives and shareholders isn't half as 'smart' as you think it is. 🤦‍♀️
