In a sane world, appealing to so-called moderate Republicans who don’t like Trump should work, I mean just look at the guy he’s the exact opposite of everything they claim to stand for. But we no longer live in a sane world (never did really) and those people simply don’t exist; and the way even solid blue states shifted right indicates to me that the dems lost a chunk of their base in trying to chase this fantasy.
