I have a slight fear that all this backlash against Spotify is going to have a undiscussed, unwanted negative effect on independent music artists. Spotify may have to make the decision to put up a barrier to entry of music onto their platform. If you’re too small to get paid, you’re too small to be platformed. If it’s not cost beneficial to pay you, and they are being forced to, your music wont be streamed there. If this isn’t what we want, maybe we rethink our approach? musicians of threads
