I brought a Psyduck plush home while visiting my parents. Ever since I was a kid, my mom has called Pokémon “esos monstros” (those monsters). When we visited the plushie store together, she saw a Psyduck and instead was like “alli esta el patito feo que te gusta” (there’s the ugly little duck you like). That’s progress I guess.
