I honestly sometimes feel like being born a native English speaker is in some ways a curse. We’re simply not given the language education at an early age that speakers of other languages are, because it’s deemed “unnecessary” Can you imagine anything more arrogant than to think “We don’t need to bother learning anyone else’s language, because everyone speaks ours”? I’m always very, very jealous of multilingual people
