It's when the multiple branches of modern Science, will finally put themselves away from post-renaissance positivism, and bring back philosophy into their research to avoid mereological and other fallacies, that we will witness a shift in consciousness. Right now in the west, the human is studied and seen as a complex machine, with a complex design, which philosophically don't make any sense.
