The only thing Riss M. Neilson is guilty of is being a phenomenal writer. Publishers need to protect BIPOC authors. I’m disappointed @macmillanusa is silent while Riss M. Neilson is being harassed online over a cover controversial she has no control over. Would love to see Square Fish speak up clearly about this and clear up the image license issue.

Sounds like people should be going after the publisher. But also, this is something authors need to be aware of. An author isn't 100% blameless.
