To the extent that the Gaza ceasefire deal is largely the same as what was on the table eight months ago, it seems to me less a tribute to Biden's deal-making skill than an indictment of it. Biden refused to use leverage over Netanyahu, so Bibi rolled him. Then Trump pushed, and Netanyahu agreed to essentially the same deal -- but many thousands of Palestinian lives were lost (to American weaponry) in the interim.
