god forbid someone make art and not want others to profit off of it... i love books but the expectation that books are some, like, free resource that you can make merchandise based off without having to pay the person who CREATED that IP is insane. the expectation of altruism in the book community grinds my gears. because yes, art. but also... people who make art can not want to share the money they make from creating something.
