I’m working on wearing even more natural fibers this year. I cleaned out my closet and found some acrylic sweaters to donate to a local nonprofit thrift shop, and a cotton cardigan in storage that I’m adding to my winter wardrobe. My personal clothing collection isn’t free of microplastic-shedding apparel, but I’m slowly swapping those items for pieces made from cotton, linen, wool, and cashmere. It doesn’t need to be an overnight, all-or-nothing change. It’s called slow fashion, after all.
