a bit both. But I read more reviews after I finish it, definitely. But even that's rather part of my "writing journey." So I tend to read with a writer's mind (or that's what I claim anyway :D) and after I finish a book, I'm curious about the negative reviews mostly. I want to see if I can relate to the criticism, and if I can find the source of those potential problems in the book. So it's good for learning as well.
