Spend a good 3-5 years at the bedside first, then decide if you want an advanced degree and which route you want to take. CRNA will require at least 2 years ICU. There are several NP routes to choose from (pedi vs adult, acute care vs primary care vs family practice, psychiatric/mental health, women’s health, neonatal, etc). I chose AGACNP because I absolutely adore our aging population & I love taking care of patients face to face in the acute care setting. 1/-
