Got my gallbladder removed a lot of people say living without it is 10x worse but honestly the amount of pain i was in from gallbladder pains and acute pancreatitis attacks I’d much rather deal with anything else haha

Same, and no one mentioned what would happen without it. Nothing what I've noticed, well... less ER visits for sure xD

I had mine out a month ago and did not realize how much pain I must have been in. After removal so far I’ve found I’m able to eat more foods than before - my lactose intolerance is gone and I’m digesting fats just fine.

As someone who is married to a man who suffered a major gallbladder attack that turned into septic shock(intubated for 20 days), then it took 7 hours to take It out. Drs need to rethink not removing them.

As someone who had their gallbladder removed 26 years ago, I have never had any issues at all.

I had mine removed in 2007 and haven’t missed it one bit. No issues post removal.

You just have to be cautious about what you eat. I assume it’s different for everyone but oils & fried foods now have to be enjoyed sparingly. Also had a random thing where my abdomen would inflate after eating cucumbers. Turns out I just had to remove the seeds. I was so thankful to have it gone!

I got mine removed at 30 weeks of pregnancy with my fourth child. We both almost died. The laparoscopic surgery went horribly wrong. After I was stabilized I ended up having to have the traditional surgery to fix the error. Plus an emergency c-section as well. 3 surgeries, 5 days. Baby and I both lived. I had to have another surgery called an ERCP just 6 months after all of that. No one thought to check to see if any calculi had spilled out 🙄 more pancreatitis and biliary colic 1/2
