Spanish is the easiest language to learn as a native Italian. Maybe close second, just behind Catalan.

Yep. And french is relatively easy for Spanish speakers. As soon as you get familiar to the pronunciation and accent, it’s almost intuitive. I studied French 4 semesters at college and was able to get an intermediate level in the official language test, even with almost zero extra effort aside of classes 🤷🏽‍♀️

My colleague from Italy is fluent in spanish.

Yep many Italians understand Spanish. But Spanish people don't understand italian

Yes, it’s very similar.

I'm Romanian, so understanding and learning Spanish and Italian is fairly easy for me. French was okay. Italians learn Spanish even easier. Romanian, on the other hand, is harder for all of these.

I speak Italian and i can understand a lot of spanish :)
