That’s a tough one. You have to learn to argue respectfully - no name calling, no yelling, no cussing, etc. then try to remember why you fell in love in the first place. Also both people have to be actively working on making things better. If it’s only one of you it is extremely difficult. I also really liked the book, The Five Love Languages. Good luck! 💗
