To all my fellow readers & writers — I need your opinion on frequent flashbacks in fiction. As I prep to draft a new novel in 2025, I find myself at the crossroads of “do I distill this information via evenly placed flashbacks” or “do I distill this information bit by bit throughout the current narrative”. Either is doable. But I am torn. So as readers, be real with me on your opinion of flashbacks. Feel free to extrapolate in the comments below.
