The Azerbaijani pilots did well not to land in Russia. After they were hit by Russian air defense, they flew to Kazakhstan. They crashed, but half of the passengers survived. There are a lot of traces of air defense missile fragments on the fuselage. In the cabin, passengers were filming people injured by shrapnel. If they had landed in Russia, they would have all been finished off, and the plane would have been burned beyond recognition to hide the traces of the air defense missile hit.
