Did you know that in the US there aren't any additional tax brackets for people making over $650k? So people who make just over half a million dollars are taxed at the same exact rate as billionaires. If we simply introduced another tax bracket above millionaires, and taxed the ultra-wealthy at pre-1980s percentages, we could pay for universal healthcare and maybe even infrastructure too 🤔 MerryChristmas

Pretty much all billionaires are people who started or invested in companies which became worth many billions. Someone who owns 10% of a $10B company is considered a billionaire. But they were never paid a billion dollars in paychecks or anything.

I mean even books like rich dad poor dad go into details about how millionaires do it. They have their money make money. If anything it would be taxing capital gains and you know what happens when you take away peoples “reward” for making money right? Go read about countries that have tried similar things and see how they are doing now. Insurance companies are the real crooks here.
