Once a year or so I think “hmm ya know, I think I’m gonna restart c25k again” and the next day my knees and shins hurt so much… How do you people who run do so regularly? Like are your knees just superhuman??

That’s the point, you have to run consistently for your knees and shins not to hurt.

Start slow. I know they say walk/run, but walk/jog to start and build up to running. It's much easier and more sustainable. And the strength exercises too. But mainly slow down.

Try None to Run instead! C25K ramps up way too fast in my opinion. None to Run is a 12 week program that will take you from no running to running straight for 20 minutes

I‘m fast approaching 50 so I figure if my legs are going to ache anyway it might as well be from running 🤷🏻♀️😂 Seriously though, it doesn’t hurt as much after the first few months. And properly fitted running shoes make a *big* difference.
