When George is on a rampage at home and “tortures” the children and his daughter cries and say “oh, daddy!” and you can see George’s shame and realization of what a horrible person he is, or thinks he is. I feel like it’s his rock bottom. 😢

I don’t think it ever hit me, not only his brother coming in from the war BUT he just lived this whole other scenario where his brother died as a child and never lived the life that he was meant to live because of his big brother. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

When George as a kid gets beaten by that drunk and his ear starts bleeding.

Thr richest man in town toast is so heartwarming, but what draws me back every year to watch this movie is George and Mary Bailey’s selflessness and love of community.

When George prays and is back to reality and starts running all over town hugging everyone. Life can be so difficult but having that love for all of it through the pain and suffering - it makes us human. His change of heart and seeing the town rally around him after he’s put his life on hold. It’s all beautiful and I cry every time.
