I used to definitely teach my student how to do-si-do when I taught k-5 music.

Listen, we were dosy-doe-ing and spinning our partners round and round in fourth grade!!!

Fun fact: it was supposed tonbe swing dancing. But Ford (of Ford motors) associated swing dancing with Black people, loose morals and sex. And lobbied for it the swing dancing instead. We could be lindy hopping and Chicago two stepping but no, racism.

Square dancing, double dutch, parachute games, stupid rope climb, and that ridiculous Presidential fitness test. Every year my gym teacher and I had a stare down. No, I’m not climbing that rope. It burns my hands and it stinks.

I remember the square dancing, it was fun. I also remember a classmate who said her father told her not to participate if she had to dance with a Black boy. Later, in high school, she "danced" with many Black boys, LOL.

Both of my kids did it in middle school PE. 2020-2024.
