Grew up in India where even as a Christian family we never exchanged gifts on Christmas. We would set up a tree, a crib and have a festive meal on Christmas. That was it. As our schools had uniforms, a gift of a new dress was dedicated for only birthdays. I used to be so freaking excited for my birthday, as I could pick a dress; my only gift.
