I agree with the other post, don't read so much into it. It's for you and as an offshoot he's excited that he'll get to benefit. I'd probably say the same thing, even if I bought it 110% for the other persons joy.

Don’t read so much into it 🙏🏻 he most definitely will benefit from it too but he most likely worded it as such so that he can justify spending over the limit you guys set. He knew you’ve been wanting one for a while and he knows your aspirations which shows you he bought it for YOU but is stating he will benefit so you don’t feel guilty for him going over the limit ❤️
