I didn’t. I waited till she was old enough to choose for herself and then waited a bit longer to make sure she wanted it. Think she was 6 when they were done. I don’t understand why you would do that to a baby? What is wrong with waiting till they are older and can choose for themselves and have better understanding of what is involved?

Please ask yourself WHY you want to pierce your baby's ears. Because society tells you girls (I'm assuming it's a girl) have to be adorned with jewelry? It's not a necessity to life. There is literally no reason for it other than as an accessory to their look. And they don't have a look. They're a baby. Please let them be a baby. Let them decide when they're old enough if they even want it.

Consent for me. My 7 year old asks. Ive told her when she's 10, which still doesn't feel old enough to be informed on long term consequences. She really wants it though and the consequences of ear piercing aren't so big

As a Mexican it’s almost tradition to do it while they’re babies. My mom said the younger the better because their little earlobes are still “soft”? Don’t ask me, idk I just followed. Pierced my daughters ears at 2 months and they never got infected because i obviously stayed on top of cleaning them. And she never messed with them because she was so little.

I got my daughter’s ears done when she was 5 months old. She’s 11 now and hates earrings. I wish I had waited for her to choose instead of putting holes in her body that she doesn’t want now

If you're going to do it before they ask for it, the younger the better before they can touch and mess with them. Don't listen to anyone slating you. Your child, your choice until they're old enough to make it for themselves.
