Anybody that thinks Usher or Chris Brown are Beyoncé’s peers don’t even understand what they’re looking at when she performs. The imagery, the symbolism, the cultural storytelling. We’re way past costumes and dance moves, yall.

We can respect Usher. Come on now. Usher was what made 2000's R&B cross over into pop charts and the suburbs. His influence and many performances are of equal note. HIS album confessions was the first to beat Thriller. That cannot be understated how insane that was at the time. Especially given the prevelance of illegal downloading back then. We can put respect in his legacy.
