Can’t stop thinking about this: Not only have we defunded education and dehumanised educators but we have spent decades disparaging the very subjects that teach us how to critically read and analyze (library, english, the arts…). I spent years being ridiculed for studying music and English literature, yet not only have those studies allowed me to make the world a more beautiful place, but they taught me how to critically read the news, see through propaganda, and understand inherent bias.
