i get the sentiment, and i do agree with your point, but to put a rational voice to non-rational comments, it’s because it’s a competitive game, so when a character is “no skill” the other teams players (who are most likely just bad) internalize it that somehow YOU have ruined this experience for them (unfairly)

In complete fairness, if anyone is struggling against a character that weak, then they're probably the person with "no skill". Play who you want, have fun (try to work with team comps obviously) but don't worry about meta. Worst mistake I ever made in Overwatch was stopping playing my main because they were considered bad. Came back later on an unranked account with only that character and ended up ranking WAY higher than my main account and having a lot more fun.

Most folks just wanna win. I can't tell you how many times someone has asked me to swap off Spider-Man just cause he's not Hella. It's frustrating but the best way to deal with it is to just ignore them. You don't need to acknowledge them to have fun.
