He was calling for support with their benefits which I was happy to offer, but here's what's SO messed up. The wife's employer (who the health plan is through) terminated the wife's employment upon receiving news of the sui*ide attempt. Yes, just before christmas. Cold and heartless doesn't begin to cover it.

Now this family has 1 week of medical coverage left and no job for her to return to. The husband ended up talking with me for 30 minutes and was so thankful that someone was trying to help them. It costs nothing to be kind.
