Two competing things can be true at the same time: Truth 1: Players being able to get paid is the fair and just thing that needed to happen a long time ago. Truth 2: The NCAA’s complete lack of oversight and regulation of NIL and the transfer portal has made college athletics significantly less enjoyable for many people, especially coaches who were program builders, and not just recruiting gurus.
