He was in surgery for four hours. He had swallowed a dish towel. A fucking dish towel. Something I didn't even notice was missing. And by the time he went under for surgery, the towel had begun to wrap itself around his intestines and pull tight. If we had waited another day, it likely would've killed him. My baby is exhausted & in pain from recovery, but he's still with us because we acted quickly.

I'm grateful to have been able to open a CareCredit card to cover most of the expense. And I'm grateful to have a loving partner willing to help me with the rest. All of my dogs were in my life before this man came along, but while I was crying at the vet's office, he said, "He's my boy too. I'll do whatever it takes."
