Where the hell is that at? I just paid $4.88 at Loblaws in Ontario Canada, and their regular price is 6 something. Must be a convenient store. They'll rob you blind 🤦♀️🤦♀️

Suspect Vancouver island somewhere (her profile). The same butter in Winnipeg is $8.49 regular price, on sale for $5.99.

@je_munc not sure where the OP is from, but I’m on Vancouver Island, and that’s the standard price here in any store. Butter is around $10/lb, and eggs between $7-$8 per dozen.

My regular grocery store in Saskatchewan has this butter for the same price... I've seen butter as high as $15 for half lb. But Vreat Value is usually around $6 i think... I buy and freeze when it's on sale at Shoppers for $4 randomly.

That’s the price in the big supermarkets in Toronto - maybe $1.00 less but in that range. I’ve Not seen butter cheaper than ~$8.00 for a couple of years. Olive oil also $22./litre.

$4.88 is the cheapest it's been in ontario in a few years though. That's still expensive. I remember when it was $1.88 on sale and I'm not even that old.

Where do you buy yours at? $4+ was the price before covid maybe. Do you by any chance buy the 1/2 lb ones?

You paid 4.88$ for Lactancia butter? Was it on sale this week? Usually only NoName butter is that price.
