Curious about golf but I have no idea where to start…buying clubs seems like a big investment for a beginner. Do most driving ranges do rentals? Is it more cost efficient to buy a set?

But the other guy said “don’t listen to what salespeople tell you that you need”. You shouldn’t be talking to a salesperson about your golf needs, you should talk to someone that can fit you for what you need, when you’re ready. But get a beginner set and go from there. It’s cheaper in the end than renting clubs all the time. Or see if friend might have an extra set
