Don’t fall for the trap in thinking you can only be grateful when things are going well. Gratitude and pain are not mutually exclusive.
Working out brings pain, but we’re simultaneously grateful for the growth it brings.
Other times, we have to be grateful in spite of pain. It hurts to lose someone we love, yet in that pain, we can be grateful that they were a part of our life. It doesn’t make the pain go away, but gratitude and pain can exist alongside each other.
