The fact that y’all want a $50 silkpress done with good products & minimal damage is crazy. 1 bottle of olaplex alone retails for $30 and despite having a license, I’m still paying that for 2 bottles.. what about my shampoo and thermal spray? So if I do 3 heads at $50 each and they each take 3 hours to do I’m making $150 after a full day. Now let me take out rent, products and and any other expenses.. I’m down to like $100.. so after 5 days I’ve only made about $500-$600? Yea.. BFFR.. 🥴😂

And like the Dobbie shop if in that moment you decide you want a trim you add $25, or a style cut add whatever that cost is, a deep condition add $25, you want color add whatever that cost is. But a walk in salon that offers a simple , basic wash and go would be nice

Why are simple and quick styles like a ponytail or quick weave over $100? If I’m getting braids or a style that takes hours, I know it will cost. If you’re a consistent stylist and good your customers will be loyal at the end of the day 🤷🏽‍♀️

And clients aren’t expecting a 3h appt for a silk press, they’re expecting 1-1.5h tops. So multiply that by 2-3X - $1000-$1800/week, $4000-$7200/mo. It’s actually not a crazy expectation, it’s just not what you offer.
