Day 2 of Kwanzaa celebrates Kujichagulia, or self-determination—to define, name, and create for ourselves. @literacyisliberation we see literacy as a powerful tool of self-determination. Through reading and writing, children and families build the confidence to tell their own stories, create their own futures, and shape their communities.
