And they're right. She won't remember it. But her little developing brain will remember the feeling of joy, and how the neurons flashed together when lights sparkled that made her feel happy. And the dopamine response that made her excited to be doing something fun with mom & dad. And she won't fully understand why she likes this time of year, or why she craves family time and family connection. But her brain will. And pictures. Years after we are gone she will have pictures of all of you.
