Unlike the US we don’t have freedom of speech. Sit him down and explain to him that these symbols mean something different from how Thailand uses them and that the symbols have no place in Canadian culture and society. This way he’s been warned. Hopefully he’ll make goid choice’s and maybe look up its original meaning in Thailand.
