It should???? You’re wanting “cost plus” pricing when no one ever in the history of the u.s. has said that’s how it works. Never has. Never will. Housing is set at MARKET PRICING, not cost plus pricing. How is this a difficult concept? We are a MARKET economy. The market sets the pricing and what the investor/owner has tied up in their property has literally ZERO to do with the market pricing.
