There is no “original” Christian Bible. Authors, scribes, translators, archaeologists, linguists, + theologians have all worked in collaboration to bring the sacred text to us in the 21st century. When I say that human beings were intimately involved in every aspect of the Bible’s creation, some assume I’m denying the Bible’s inspiration. I’m not. Instead, I’m pointing you toward the miraculous truth that God chooses to collaborate with humans. God welcomes our creativity and our agency. Do we?
