I had an argument with someone claiming it's their right to talk during a movie, and if you're bothered by that, it's your problem and they're doing nothing wrong. Part of their argument was they hang with industry professionals, and they all talk during movies when they go to theaters. And since I want people to shut up at the movies, clearly I don't have any friends of color and that I'm the problem. 🧵

Her entire side of the family is the kind to talk during movies. I don't care if you're an "industry insider" or whatever. EVERY brick-and-mortar theater has a pre-roll clip asking you, the audience, to silence your phone and NOT TALK DURING THE MOVIE. AMC, Cinemark, Movie Tavern, Rave, Regal -- every theater I have EVER been to has this. 🧵/2
