Honestly for me, I liked the movies because I watched them before reading the books, and a after reading the books, I understand why readers hated it, because it didn't contain original source material like the plot and certain characters like Ares missing and what so. But in the movies' defense, I remember 9 year old me watching the movies for the first time and loving it sm that I watched them again like 4 more timesSo I think if the movies were to stand on their own they would be pretty liked
