Acolyte failed because it was a self-indulgent puerile canon-destroying piece of self-important crap with middling actors, bad characters, and an absolutely nonsensical plot that had characters doing the weirdest things and taking the dumbest decisions just to keep the whole demented narrative shuffling along. Besides that it also had some flaws.

Honestly, hating on the Acolyte for the right reasons can itself be a very 'woke' thing to do. Bad representation = making shit stories with minority leads. Good representation = making good stories with minority leads. Acolyte is actually an anti "woke" show because giving minorities worse stories compared to the good stories that you give to male leads (Andor) is harmful to future representation. Kind of a weird way to look at it, I know, but that's the truth of it.
