If she is umportant enough to be a bridesmaid she is important enough to show grace. I wouldn’t want her there because she can afford all the things, I want her there because she is a ride or die and it’s important to me

If there truly your friend that you invite to stand by you on your special day you should already know if they can afford to participate before hand.

My daughter has been a bridesmaid and it has always been very expensive. Dress, shoes, makeup, destination bachelorette party where she had to pay. Of course they paid for the brides food and drinks all weekend! Every time she is asked she gets anxiety

As someone from the Netherlands I don't understand American weddings. Why do American brides want so many bridesmaids, have super specific wants for their looks and then have the bridesmaids pay for their own dress, hair and makeup? Over here people would refuse to be your bridesmaid even if you would pay for that look if they don't want to wear that dress after the wedding, why would you want to have a dozen dresses you've worn only once?

No- BUT- if you can’t afford to be a bridesmaid, be transparent. Don’t ghost the damn bride. If you can’t stand next to me, I still want you there.
