I grew up in the Bay Area and go back to SF about once a year. Family lives in Vacaville. SF is decimated - businesses left, people have left, the homeless and drug usage in public (while slightly better than just a few years ago) is pathological and terrible. It’s not the same city by any measure. It’s ok to root for the city, but calling things by their right names is the path to wisdom. Sorry, but it’s got to hit rock bottom first before it gets better.

Businesses are getting people back to the office, and the ancillary benefits have started to follow. Drug use in public, in some areas, is still problematic, but I’d wager no worse than around Fremont Street, and the sleazier strip clubs in LV. Be as honest about where you live as you claim to be about SF.
21 小時內	bojackmrpb	/ the clear solution is to demonize homeless people more. it's cool that seeing unhoused people is more of an issue than there being so many homeless. and it's pretty silly to say the standard of living is lower when the income inequality is insanely high. maybe that could be a smreason for the things your mad about. also if you lived in San Francisco you should know like the nation crime leaked in the early 1990s
