I think you’re the only one, yes. You have the same seat you had, just in a different row. It costs you nothing, and you help somebody out. I could see if you were going window/aisle to middle that would be a no but here, I don’t see the problem.

I've noticed the switch requests are getting worse. I had one woman call me a cold frigid bitch because I told her I wouldn't swap my window seat I paid for for her kid's middle seat. I get that you want to be with your kid but that's not someone else's problem.

If they had two middle seats who was it going to be an upgrade for? Airlines shouldn’t separate children from their parents.

If it's closer to the front it is better- I probably would switch if it was closer to exit + I haven't already settled in, but if the mother asks after I put away my bags + get stuff out, then I probably couldn't be bothered to move (just say no).

She booked these seats knowing the airlines/passengers would accommodate while she could save a couple of bucks. It’s rude and airlines should start flagging people who do this

Middle for middle = good, middle for aisle = better, and middle for window = best. I have no problem moving for same to better. I will not give up my window seat or upgraded seating. Can I add middle for middle only 1 row back or any forward 😂😂

You need to make it clear that you were asked to switch from an aisle seat to a middle seat. I had to read to comment to find out that info. This makes me feel like this post is rage bait smh.

Me and my friend where sitting in middle seats. Another couple randomly asked if we could switch. Instinctively I asked “why”? “To be closer to the middle”. I obviously said no. Buy closer to the middle than. They found empty middle seats after the movie started. The audacity to ask others as soon as you get there to switch like I also didnt pay and pre book my seats like everybody else.

Just no. The person asked knew they were taking advantage of you. They could have pre paid for seat selection to be together or just sat as assigned.

People like that intentionally avoid paying extra to choose the seat they want in hopes of convincing someone to just switch with them. Really kind of a messed up move cause that other person paid to have a seat they wanted.
